More banks in NE
Six new bank branches will be opened in the Northern Province to
facilitate economic activities in the area.
People's Bank is due to open three new branches in Kilinochchi,
Mankulam and Paranthan while Commercial Bank and Seylan Bank are due to
open one branch each in Kilinochchi.
The Nations Trust Bank will open a branch in Jaffna.
Three new bank branches will be opened in Kilinochchi and one each in
Paranthan, Mankulam and Jaffna.
Necessary approvals of the Central Bank have also been granted for
further new bank branches in the Northern and Eastern Provinces, in the
next few months.
