Ragging incident:
Peradeniya undergrads remanded till November 5

Kandy Chief Magistrate Sumudu Premachandra remanded fourteen
undergraduate suspects who were allegedly involved in ragging of another
undergraduate attached to the Arts Faculty of the Peradeniya University
till November 5. Earlier the court remanded 13 suspects and Peradeniya
police produced another suspect before court last Monday.
When the case was called yesterday, the court ordered all the 14
suspects be remanded till November 5. Peradeniya police is conducting
further investigation into the incident.
