Beloved wife of RONNIE DE MEL - former Minister of Finance and Planning, daughter of late Sir Leo Fernando MP, loving mother of Sunalini Jayatilaka, Tara De Fonseka, Renuka Dossa, mother-in-law of Dr Ayal Jayatilaka, Dr Kamal De Fonseka and Furqan Dossa. Remains were at No.5, Charles Drive, Colombo 3 till 12 noon on Wednesday 14th October, and thereafter at Devinuwara till 3.30 p.m. on Friday 16th October. Cremation at Devinuwara Public Playground at 4.00 p.m. on 16th October.

de VOS - LETITIA MAY - Wife of the late Owen Cecil VanEyk de Vos (Bonny), sister of the late Joseph (Sonny), late Clarence and late Winston, mother of Ashley and Fatma, Milroy and Marguerite (Marnie) (Aus), grandmother of Ashvin, Asha, Owen and Andrew, peacefully passed on and according to her wishes her mortal remains were interred following a private ceremony on 10th October 2009. The family wishes to thank the Priests, Doctors, Hospital Staff, family and friends for their support. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held on Friday the 23rd October 2009 at 5 p.m. at Christ Church, Galle Road, Galkissa (Dehiwela).
