Importance of security highlighted

When constructing a house, everyone’s main concern would be its
security and protection. This is the sole reason why people look for the
best quality materials for the construction. Securo Dynamics (Pvt) Ltd
has aptly addressed that common need at present. The company became the
pioneer in introducing electronic security systems in Sri Lanka, said
the Managing Director, Securo Dynamics (Pvt) Ltd, Imran Hassen.
Q: In a time of recession with people
cutting down costs do you think that people tend to install security
systems in their houses?
A: The security of any establishment is the main concern but
people fail to do so due to lack of knowledge on its importance. People
become alert only if they suffer a loss or are threatened and then
install a security system which should have been done much earlier.
Despite this, we had a steady growth in the home security system
compared to the industrial security system. The industrial security
systems have dropped slightly during the past eight months.
Q: What are your markets and how do
you cater to them?
Dr. Kithsiri Edirisinghe: Our main market is in Sri Lanka. We focus
mainly on security systems and our main feature of business is the after
sales service. The latter is unique to Securo Dynamics (Pvt) Ltd whereas
we thought it might be useful to fulfill our customer’s requirements. We
consider this as a significant service provided by our company and we
have used the latest products along with electronic security systems.

Q: How can your products help for the
betterment of the country?
A: Our main intention of
the installation of security systems is to make the country a safer
place to live. It is mainly to reduce robberies and frauds in the
country.
Q: How can a company be strengthened?
Is it by professionalism or experience?
A: It should definitely be
through experience. In this type of business it is essential to maintain
accuracy and a proper management system. We want to consider what is
available in the market and how to supply it according to the customer’s
needs. Therefore, we supply tailor-made systems for each customer. Hence
we became successful in the unique after sales service. We feel that in
accomplishing these operations experience is important.
Q: What are your expansion plans?
A: Our next expansion plan is to introduce a video-monitoring camera
system in Sri Lanka. Once a video camera is installed in a premises the
place can be audited and thus any suspicious movements at any time of
the day could be identified.
Q: How important is a security system
to a company?
A: A security system is an essential component in a company.
It is important to provide an education on why it is so essential. The
main airport in any country is equipped with high technology security
systems because it is indispensable in such premises.
Therefore, the authority has rightly understood and deployed the
systems. Some companies do not understand its importance.
Certain camera systems installed in companies are complex in their
operations and thus any crime can be detected at any time through these
systems.
Q: How do you see the competition
from other competitors?
A: It is healthy to have
competition among many security system suppliers. It is only then that
customers can get a better deal. Since we concentrate only on security
systems, we never fear competition. There will be a good demand for
security systems emerging in Sri Lanka at present.

A: My philosophy is to
come up in life in an honest manner.
Q: What is the best place you wish to
visit in Sri Lanka?
A: I wish to visit places
of historical importance in Sri Lanka such as Anuradhapura and
Polonnaruwa. I enjoy culture and the heritage of a country a great deal.
Q: What are the places you wish to
visit outside Sri Lanka?
A: There are places of
historical importance. I wish to visit India, especially places such as
the Taj Mahal.
Q: How do you spend your leisure?
A: I enjoy being with my
children and family. Motor racing is also one of my hobbies. |
