Royal to present Saga V plus at BMICH
Royal College School Development Society will present Saga V plus
musical for the second time.
The event is conducted by the College orchestra.
They won the national orchestra trophy from 2004, 2006 and 2008
respectively and had continued to maintain a high degree of musical
excellence. Their final performance held at BMICH on February 20 was
disrupted due to air attacks in Colombo.
It is with the intention of compensating this rare opportunity that
the re-performance of the Saga V plus will be held tomorrow (29) at
BMICH, 6 p.m.
Veterans of classical music Dr. Dayananda Ranatunga, Prof. Aruna
Ranatunga and artistes like Amal Perera are expected to attend the
performance. The performance of fusion and the dance by College pupils
will add glamour to the show.
Organiser of the Royal College orchestra Ashoka Pushpakumara will
conduct the musical. Principal, Royal College H. A. V. Gunasekera and
Secretary School Development Society Ruwan Gallage had encouraged the
students in this musical venture.
