A fine knock of 93 by former Sri Lanka opening batsman Chandika Hathurusinghe helped Moors Sports Club beat Sebastianites SC by 52 runs in their BCCSL Premier Division One Limited over cricket tournament match played at De Soysa Stadium, Moratuwa on Saturday.

Hathurusinghe hoisted one six and struck seven boundaries. He also added 85 runs for the fourth wicket with Bathiya Perera as Moors hit up 229 for 9 from their 50 overs. In reply Sebastianites were dismissed for 177 runs in 44 overs.

Moors SC: 229 for 9 in 50 overs (M. Sampan 27, C. Hathurusinghe 93, B. Perera 46, K. Jayasinghe 21 n.o., N. Kumara 2 for 12, P. Ranaweera 2 for 28).

Sebastianites SC: 177 in 44 overs (C. Randenigama 25, M. Peiris 21, S. Silva 44, S. Farook 3 for 14, R. Herath 2 for 28, N. Cooray 2 for 23).
