Five year plan to develop Dambulla

by Matale district group corrospondent

The previous government did not follow clear development plans in the country. Therefore the present government has made a development plan to be implemented within the next five years, Matale District UNP, MP Ranjith Aluvihare said.

He was addressing a meeting held at the Dambulla Divisional Secretariat attended by all government officers in the area.

He further said that all government employees are bound to serve under any government without any difference. They should be independent. Today the public are expecting a significant service from them.

As people's representatives we are responsible for them. At present I have prepared a five year plan to improve the Dambulla electorate. The necessary financial aid could be obtained from other countries like Japan and Germany.

I expect the participation of all government officials to carry out this plan, According we can develop all rural areas without any difficulty, he concluded.

Matale District Secretary Ramya Siriwansa said that as government servants we should serve the public under rules enacted by any government. It is our prime duty. As all government officials get their salaries through public funds, our services should be impartial.

Dambulla Divisional Secretary Padmajina Siriwardana, and Assistant Divisional Secretary Vijitha Kanugala also spoke.
