Rugby coaching and tournament The Junior Rugby Coaching Camp and tournament during vacation for those aged 9 to 15 will be held on December 18 and 19 at Wesley College grounds, Borella. The main organisers of this programme are N. J. Mudannayake/Co-ordinator of Western Province Basil Rodrigo/Chief Technical officer Western Province Rugby Football Union. More than 500 children from Gampaha and Colombo District will be participating in the tournament. It has been organised by the Western Province Rugby Football Union in collaboration with Sri Lanka Rugby Football Union. This coaching camp tournament has been conducted under the instruction of Arjun Dharmadasa, Chairman Development Committee of Sri Lanka Rugby Football Union, Mohan Balasuriya, President WPRFU, Fazal Mohammed, Deputy President WPRFU has come forward for a big support for the success of this tournament. On the 18th the chief guest will be Y. C. Chang, Past Chairman Development Committee SLRFU, the final day the chief guest will be Capt. Harsha Mayadunne, President SLRFU. The Championship Cup will be presented on the final day along with the Plate, Bowl for the second the third. Abdeen's School of Rugby has been invited to participate in an exhibition match with Western Province U/15 - development squad. |
