PM shocked

Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe yesterday condemned the terrorist attack on the Indian Parliament. In a message to Indian Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee, Prime Minister Wickremesinghe condemned the "sense violence" at Lok Sabha.

The message: "I was shocked to hear of the terrorist attack on the Lok Sabha, the symbol of democracy in India. We in Sri Lanka strongly condemn such senseless violence directed at elected representatives of the people of India. Please accept assurances of highest consideration."
