Troops ambushed and killed seven LTTE cadres at Meeyankulam in Batticaloa on Thursday, the Special Media Information Centre said.

Soldiers carried out a search in the area on Friday morning and found the bodies of the seven Tigers together with five 120mm mortar bombs, 38 82 mm mortar bombs, 113 anti-personnel mines and several other war-like items.
