War hero families get financial aid

Twenty five families selected from among the families of the war heroes within the Matale Divisional Secretary's area were given financial aid for house construction at a ceremony held at Matale District Secretariat recently.

War Heroes Service Authority organised this programme and provided financial resources. Each family was given Rs. 100,000 as key - money for the house construction.

Matale Assistant Divisional Secretary A.B. Herath distributed the cheques.

A Member of the Matale Urban Council as well as a planning officer Rohana Kumara Atipola offered to provide free the technical instructions for the needy.
