Steve Gilman, B&Q, International Director said, "We have ambitious plans for our business in China and we need an effective logistics partner to expand with us. We're confident that Maersk Logistics will help us reach our target of having 58 stores in China by 2006." Steffen Schiottz-Christensen, Managing Director, Maersk Logistics China, said, "Maersk Logistics is very proud of our expanded relationship with B&Q International. The strategic alliance will facilitate joint growth in the People's Republic of China during the years to come." He said: "It is critical to be on the forefront of developments in the post WTO accession market place and we feel the partnership with B&Q International is an important achievement in this context." Maersk Logistics China is undergoing a rapid development and is in the privileged position of holding a number of licences to operate as a wholly owned foreign entity (WOFE) and today has 15 own offices throughout China.
