national Alliance conglomerate of opportunists - V. K. Kugenthiran
by Jaffna special Corrospondent Those who made way for an armed culture have now joined the Tamil national Alliance and posing off as the liberators of the Tamils, EPDP candidate V.K. Kugenthiran said at a meeting in Manipay. He further said: "They even call themselves as the nominees of the LTTE in the general election. The LTTE knows who they are and what they did to fatten themselves. The LTTE is silently watching these betrayers". The meeting was presided over by Velichere Anton Johnson President Manipay Pradeshiya Sabha. Kugenthiran further said that the Tamil national Alliance is a conglomeration of opportunists, murderers and those who had embezzled public funds. These people have no moral right to canvass the votes of the people. He said the EPDP is working towards the alleviation of the living condition of the poor masses as well as for the legitimate rights of the Tamils. We give top priority to meet the needs of the people. No one cannot speak of politics to those in hunger and distress. We are therefore attending to the rehabilitation of the displaced persons and reconstruction of damaged buildings in Jaffna. If all the EPDP candidates are returned his leader Minister Douglas
Devananda would be in a position to demand and bargain for rights that
would enable the Tamil race in live with equal rights and self respect
with the Sinhalese.
