A cassette reportedly containing a discussion between UNP's Dr. Jayalath Jayawardana and some LTTE leaders has been handed over to the Malwatte Mahanayaka Thera yesterday by a high powered Government delegation, an Urban Development Ministry news release said last night.

The four member delegation comprised Ministers Mangala Samaraweera, Anuruddha Ratwatte, Dr. Sarath Amunugama and former MP Dilan Perera.

A separate election manifesto prepared by the UNP for the LTTE dominated areas in the North was also handed over by the Ministerial delegation to the Malwatte Mahanayaka.

The cassette also reportedly contains the methods of plundering votes in the Jaffna peninsula and also assassinating the person who has only one eye.

The Ministers have pointed out to the Mahanayaka that the reference to the person with one eye, alludes to President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga.

The Malwatte Mahanayaka was greatly perturbed on listening to the audio cassette.
