BCCSL donates cricket mattings The National Development Committee of the Board of Control for Cricket in Sri Lanka has begun distributing cricket mattings free of charge to schools and clubs around the country. This is part of the BCCSL's ongoing programme to develop cricket at the grass roots level in order to raise the standard of competition nationally and develop the talents of outstation players. The first presentation was carried out at the Galle International Cricket Stadium on the 11th of October, when eleven schools and six clubs in the Galle, Matara and Hambantota Districts of the Southern Province each received one cricket matting. Schools and clubs in other districts will receive cricket mattings over the next few weeks. The schools and clubs which have so far received mattings are: Galle District -

Thelijjawila MMV, Rahula College, Hambantota District - Debarawewa MMV, Debarawewa
