Rajaratnam Former Minister and CWC Chief, Arumugam Thondaman met the CWC stalwarts and candidates in the current hustings of the United National Party, at the General House here during the week-end. Thondaman exhorted his candidates and the campaigners to maximise their work in the plantations and in the rural areas and ensure victory. He clearly told them not to take things for granted, but he expected a full scale campaign in the coming weeks and days till the day of the poll. He reminded them that the coming elections were a crucial one among the political parties and in the history of the country, and for the plantation workers in general. Hence, he said his organisation, should do their best. A former CWC dissident and the recently elevated Deputy Chairman, M. S. Sellasamy, were among those participated.
