The Government is confident of winning more than 120 seats at the forthcoming general elections, Prime Minister Ratnasiri Wickremenayake said addressing a rally in Kalutara.

The people have a great confidence in the PA Government. They will definitely give us a clear mandate as before, the Prime Minister said.

A strong government is the need of the hour. The people will never betray the PA, he said.

"The PA government during its past seven-year tenure has done a tremendous duty to the people. It ensured a decent life for them. People can today live without fear."

The people will take a bold decision to re-appoint the PA to the office on December 5, he added.
