A non-governmental organisation named `Jana Sansadaya' has been formed to monitor election-related violence in the Kalutara District.

In addition to the monitoring process, the organisation will encourage the political leadership and their followers for a free and fair election.

While mobilising its members as elections observers during electioneering and polling, it also invites the public to lodge complaints regarding election malpractices and violence.

The Secretary of the organisation requests the public to be vigilant on such incidents and inform them to the address, Jana Sansadaya, 81/2, Arthur V. Dias Mawatha, Panadura.
