Only TULF could bring LTTE to negotiating table

Only the TULF with a considerable parliamentary representation could bring the Government and the LTTE to the negotiating table, says a press release issued by TELO.

The release:

"The PA Government, its media both the print and the electronic and its contemporary 'Trojan' masters in disguise the JVP are unleashing a vituperative propaganda against the Tamil Political Parties that are contesting the forthcoming election under the TULF banner to mislead the nation specially the Sinhala Nation.

While dismissing this propaganda as shameless, cowardly, dishonest, uncultured an undemocratic in a country which still openly maintains and proud of decent political behaviours, TELO Central Committee calls upon the innocent common man to understand the power hungry desperation of the PA leadership and the petty bourgeois infanta of the JVP that carries all the rudiments of another senseless insurgency with Sinhala Extremist overtones.

We call upon the Common Sinhala man also not only the Tamil speaking people to vote for the TULF in Colombo, Vanni, Trincomalee, Jaffna, Batticaloa and Ampara district, as only the TULF with a considerable parliamentary strength can bring both the warring factions of our national ethnic crises, the Sri Lankan Government and the LTTE to the negotiating table to evolve a lasting and sustainable solution to this ethnic crisis, within the framework of a united Sri Lanka. No other party specially the JVP do have vision and vision to fulfil this historic task.

The war must be stopped. Peace must be established. All must live in peace and honour."
