The 17th Amendment to the Constitution in accordance with the MoU signed between the PA and the JVP was unanimously approved at yesterday's Cabinet meeting, political sources told the Daily News last night. It has also been referred to the Supreme Court for a decision so that it could be expeditiously presented in Parliament. The 17th Amendment to the Constitution is for the establishment of the four independent Commissions. |
