Four terrorists killed at Kalyanapura The scattered skirmishing between Government troops and terrorists, and a slow trickle a civilians escaping LTTE harassment continue, according to yesterday's special Media Information Centre Report. Four terrorists were killed in an engagement with troops on Thursday at Kalyanapura eight miles North of Welioya. The confrontation which was supported by artillery fire ended with the terrorists breaking off leaving three bodies behind. The bodies and two T56 assault rifles were recovered. Meanwhile another youth of 20 years was reported to have surrendered to Government Forces 15 km off Baticaloa. Interrogation revealed that he had received two weeks training at a terrorist camp before escaping. |
