Prime Minister and Minister of Buddha Sasana Ratnasiri Wickremanayake, in a condolence message to mark the passing away under the tragic circumstances of the Chief Sangha Nayaka of the Thamankaduwa Ven. Minneriye Sunanatissa Nayaka Thera and Samanala Palama Raja Maha Viharadhipati Ven. Puliyarawatte Pannakiththi Nayaka Thera, said that the services rendered by the late prelates for the religious and social benevolence of the Sinhala and Buddhist people of the Trincomalee District were praiseworthy. The Prime Minister, while expressing sorrow at the death of the two prelates, said that the loss of the two prelates were immeasurable. The Prime Minister, while commending the services rendered by these prelates has wished that they attain Nibbana. |
