Destruction of Pentagon, a good lesson say Tigers The LTTE, in a message addressed to the Tamil people and distributed in Jaffna, says that the destruction of the Pentagon will be a good lesson for the Sinhala Army and the chauvinist aggressive authoritarian Government of Sri Lanka. This will be a good warning to superpowers like America, which helps countries such as Israel, which helps to fight freedom fighters. The message, which accuses the American Government of branding the LTTE as terrorists, asked whether the US still harbours the idea of functioning as a global policeman. It asked whether the spread of arms and men possessed by the US could withstand the courage and the commitment of freedom fighters. The message also posed the question:" if the world's most protected place, the Pentagon was attacked, how could the Sri Lankan President's House be protected?" The message also expressed the grief of the LTTE over the loss of life of the fighters. |
