by Ananda Kannangara A common policy on transfers of executive officers who complete five years of service in the same Government Department or Local Government Institutions has been initiated by the Ministry of Public Administration, Home Affairs and Administrative Reforms. The transfer scheme which will come into force from January 2002 is also applicable to all executive officers in the Combined Service. The proposal for transferring public officers after they had completed five years in the same institution was introduced in the interests of a more efficient service, Minister Dr. Richard Pathirana yesterday told the Daily News. |
