by Z.M. Razik in Kandy

Three suspects in a bomb case, who were remanded earlier and later released on bail by the High Court Kandy, were directed to appear in court on December 5 by the Kandy Magistrate D.L.M. Seneviratne on Wednesday.

When the case was called the suspects K. Ramalingam and K.M., Saman Banda both of Ketwala-Leula and S.G. Neethiraja alias Babu of Kaludawala, Matale appeared in court.

SI, J.M. Sirisena of the Central Range Special Investigation Unit (SIU) filed a further report and informed court that all the suspects were taken into custody by the SIU following the detection of seven high explosives including a bomb in a house at Ketawala-Leula.

He told court that the SIU had forwarded the inquiry proceedings to the Attorney General and was awaiting instructions to file plaint. He also moved that the case be put off and the suspects be directed to appear in court on the next date.
